Service Delivery is a dynamic concept and changes as the needs of the student change.  Often it is beneficial to the student to provide a combination of service delivery options.  Back On Call Speech/Language Pathologists are trained and proficient in the use of the following:

Consultation/Collaboration:  Back On Call SLP's work together with the regular and/or special education teacher(s), the Occupational Therapist, the Physical Therapist, and the family to provide a team approach in facilitating the student’s communication and learning in the educational environment.  Often this approach utilizes direct and indirect services to the student.

Monitoring:  Back On Call SLP’s are proficient in the skills necessary to monitor a student’s speech and language progress throughout the grading period.  Many students who are ready to be dismissed will only need minimal direct services but are maintained on the caseload and their skills periodically evaluated for continued communication success in the classroom and home environment.

Classroom-Based:  Back On Call SLP’s provide integrated or inclusive programming by team teaching with the classroom teacher to provide direct services within the student’s typical communication environments.  This approach allows for maximum carry-over of learned skills and concepts in the student’s natural environment.

Pullout:  Back On Call SLP’s continue to provide the traditional individual and small group therapy sessions in a resource room setting.  This approach works best when teaching a new skill or concept and then moving into other models of treatment as the student obtains the necessary knowledge and skill base to transfer learning into new environments.

Community-Based:  Back On Call SLP’s are available to provide services within the students home or community setting.  This is an option for students who are unable to attend an educational facility due to medical or behavioral issues.

Telepractice/technology Based:  Back On Call SLP’s are trained in the use of many telepractice applications.  Telepractice involves utilizing telecommunication technology (video lessons, telephone conferencing, videophone conferencing, web cam services, etc.) to deliver professional services to students in remote, rural, and underserved populations.  Telepractice is used in combination with other methods of service delivery to ensure the quality of services is consistent with typical face-to face practices.

Back On Call Speech Language Pathologists are also available to satisfy your district requirements for Staff In-Services, CFY/PEY Supervision and Independent Evaluations.
